HALDANE MARTIN is a contemporary furniture design company based in Cape Town, South Africa. Established in 2002, the HALDANE MARTIN collection consists of over 50 unique furniture pieces, all originally designed by Haldane Martin and manufactured under his careful watch. The marketing, sales, outsourcing, quality control, assembly and logistics, are managed by a team at the HALDANE MARTIN studio / showroom / warehouse in Woodstock, Cape Town.

HALDANE MARTIN has won several awards including the Real Simple SA - Green Innovation Award in 2008, and the prestigious SABS DISA award for Zulu Mama 2007.

HALDANE MARTIN furniture has been exhibited in Madrid, London, Paris, New York, Copenhagen, Oslo, Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. The furniture has been featured extensively in the local press and international design publications. Haldane is also a regular guest speaker. He offers sought-after internship positions to promising young designers.

The furniture is specified for high end, domestic and hospitality interiors worldwide, for example the acclaimed desert retreat, Little Kulala in Namibia, and the Emirates VIP Lounges at OR Tambo Airport. The furniture can be purchased online or through select international or local retailers.

Owner / director / designer - Haldane Martin was born in Johannesburg in 1970, qualified as an Industrial Designer in 1992 and is the father of four beautiful children.
